"Easy to fit around my ridiculous schedule"
I really liked that NYIAD let me learn on my own time. My work hours are kind of ridiculous, so being able to pause whenever I needed and come back later made a big difference. A few sections felt a little outdated, but overall it was simple to follow and worked well with my schedule.

"Got certified and actually found work"
I finished the course, got my certificate, and used the portfolio stuff from it to get my first freelance client. It definitely took some work and all that, but it was worth it

Overall, I thought the course was good. The lessons were clear and easy to follow, but a few parts did feel a little outdated. I’d say trust your instincts as you go through it, there’s still useful info here, even if some sections could use a refresh

I ended up choosing NYIAD mainly because the tuition felt reasonable compared to a lot of other places I looked at. having a payment plan made a big difference. Not everyone can just drop the full amount at once, so it was nice to have an option that felt more fair and manageable. It made it a lot less stressful to get started, and so far I feel like I’m getting good value for what I paid.
